Hudson Police Blotter: Domestic Calls, Missing Juvenile Mark Early July Week

Hudson Police responded to a wide range of calls during the week of June 30 through July 6, according to the department’s incident news media report. Domestic situations, a missing juvenile case and two mental health calls stood out among the routine noise complaints and welfare checks that filled out the week.

Below is a category by category look at what officers handled, listed chronologically within each section. Street numbers and resident names have been omitted in accordance with standard blotter practice.

Domestic Situations

Three domestic situation calls came in during the week. Officers responded to the Kate Drive area on July 1 for a domestic situation. A second call came from the Bradford Way area just before 1 a.m. on July 3. Later that same day, officers were dispatched to the Morning Song Lane area for a 911 hang up call tied to a domestic situation.

Missing Juvenile

Officers responded to the Nantucket Drive area on July 3 for a report of a missing juvenile.

Mental Health Calls

Police responded to the Plymouth Drive area just after midnight on July 5 for a report of a woman with a self inflicted injury. On July 6, officers went to the Abner Lane area to assist Hudson Emergency Medical Services with a mental health related call.

Fraud

A resident in the Atterbury Boulevard area reported telecommunications fraud on July 6.

Theft and Larceny

Hudson Police were dispatched to Circle K on Darrow Road on July 4 for a report of a lost wallet.

Driving Under Suspension

An officer stopped a vehicle near Barlow Road and Ogilby Drive on July 2 after a traffic violation and learned the driver did not have a valid license. A second traffic stop near State Route 8 and State Route 303 early on July 3 led to the same charge.

Property Damage

Police responded to the Leslie Drive area on July 3 for a report of property damage. A second property damage report came from the Winslow Drive area on July 5.

Civil Matters

Civil matters made up a large share of the week’s calls. On June 30, a 65 year old woman reported problems with a tree service she had hired in the West Case Drive area. Later that day, officers responded to a civil matter reported inside the Hudson Police Department lobby. Officers responded to a report of debris that fell off a truck and struck a vehicle on State Route 8 South on July 1. A custody dispute was reported in the Brafferton Avenue area on July 2.

Juvenile Complaint

Officers were dispatched to Regal Cinema on Darrow Road late on June 30 for a juvenile complaint.

Informational Report

Police were informed on July 1 that a 14 year old boy’s Snapchat account had been permanently removed by the platform.

Noise Complaints

Noise complaints were common throughout the week, with several coming from the same Atterbury Boulevard address. Officers responded to that location on July 3 for a noise complaint, then returned twice more that day for additional loud music and noise reports. A separate complaint about a loud generator came from the Division Street area later on July 3. Fireworks prompted a call from the Bradford Way area on July 4, and a final noise complaint came from the Winslow Drive area that same night.

Welfare Checks

Officers conducted four welfare checks during the week. The first came early on July 4 in the Haymarket Way area, where officers assisted Hudson EMS. A welfare check at a local church on West Streetsboro Street followed on July 5. That same day, officers checked on the area of Stow Road and Barlow Road, then responded to a Young Road area residence for another welfare check.

Animal Calls

Officers responded to a report of a found dog in the Sodalite Drive area on July 3. A sick raccoon was reported in the Holyoke Avenue area, with police responding on July 5. Officers were also dispatched to Barlow Farm Park on July 6 for an animal complaint.

Open Door and Window Calls

Police responded to a Clinton Street area business on July 3 for an open door. Officers were dispatched to Jos A Bank on First Street later that night for an alarm drop. A third open door call came from the Kate Drive area on July 5.

Disabled Vehicles

Officers located a disabled vehicle on State Route 8 South on July 4. A second disabled vehicle was reported near Darrow Road and Faymont Drive on July 6.

Alarm Drop

Police responded to a West Streetsboro Street business on July 6 for an alarm drop and found an unlocked door.
