Ivory and Birch, Daisy Pops Open in Downtown Hudson

Downtown Hudson welcomed two new businesses this month, both celebrated with ribbon cutting ceremonies that Mayor Jeffrey Anzevino highlighted during last week’s city council meeting. Both shops are located in the First and Main shopping area.

Ivory and Birch Opens Boutique at 96 First Street

Ivory and Birch has opened a location at 96 First Street. The boutique was founded in 2014 by Deloran Muransky Thompson, who launched the store in Boardman after a career in buying and product development for a major department store. Her mother, Chris, also helps curate merchandise for the shop. Ivory and Birch sells women’s apparel, jewelry, home decor, gifts, baby and children’s items and stationery, along with brands such as MacKenzie Childs. The Hudson store is the boutique’s second location.

Daisy Pops Sets Up Cake Pop Kiosk Between Talbots and Chico’s

Daisy Pops has opened a seasonal Cake Pop Kiosk at 82 First Street, tucked between Talbots and Chico’s in a spot that had sat empty for about eight years. The kiosk is open now through August 15, with hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Daisy Pops was founded by Amy Mucha, a former high school math teacher who began selling cake pops as a side business in 2018 and left teaching in 2021 to run the company full time. The business opened its first storefront in Kent in 2023 and has long had ties to Hudson through its regular presence at the Hudson Farmers Market. The kiosk marks the company’s first standalone location in the city.
