Two Shot at Brecksville Business Park; Ohio BCI Investigating

A security guard and a delivery driver were both wounded Friday at Snowville Plaza; Ohio BCI is assisting with the investigation.

A shooting at a Brecksville business park left two men hospitalized Friday morning, prompting a multi-agency investigation involving state and county authorities.

Brecksville police received a 911 call at approximately 7:25 a.m. reporting a shooting near Snowville and Brecksville roads. Officers arriving on scene found a private security guard in the parking lot of Snowville Plaza with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center's main campus.

Second Victim Drove Himself to Hospital

A second victim — a subcontractor for UniUni, an e-commerce delivery service located at the northwest corner of the plaza — drove himself to MetroHealth Medical Center in Broadview Heights. He was later transferred to the hospital's main campus. Both men underwent surgery; their current conditions have not been released.

The 911 call initially came in as an officer down. Brecksville Police Chief Stanton Korinek clarified the individual was a private security guard, not a law enforcement officer. He noted the business park has previously been the site of calls for disputes, disturbances and thefts.

Circumstances Remain Under Investigation

Authorities said the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear. No suspect information has been released. Police stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.

UniUni acknowledged the incident in a statement, saying the company is cooperating fully with local authorities. The company expressed concern for those involved and said safety remains a top priority.

Ohio BCI and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department are assisting Brecksville police with the ongoing investigation.
