At exactly 12:00 p.m., city officials will open the historic time capsule buried by residents during the nation’s bicentennial on July 4, 1976.

Members of the public are invited to contribute to the city’s next chapter by submitting a one-page letter or a small keepsake for a new time capsule, which will remain sealed for the next 50 years. Officials note that letter templates are available through June 29 at Willowick City Hall, the Willowick Senior Center, and the Activities Center at Manry Park.
